This website provides free downloads of hard-to-get documents on the rangelands of eastern Africa. The documents (maps, reports, proceedings, journal papers, abstracts), range in age from 1844 to the 2000’s, and deal with a wide range of subjects, including rangeland resources, pastoralists, land uses, and development. Many are: (a) part of the gray literature, (b) limited in distribution and now largely forgotten, (c) unavailable online and (d) relatively inaccessible by field workers located far from institutional libraries in the larger cities. Nonetheless, they remain potentially valuable for background, comparative, instructional, research or historical purposes.
